SAMUELSON EDU

Samuelson Edu trains critical thinking skills through courses of sequential online classes focused on the English Arts curriculum.

These classes can deliver tangible and substantial benefits to all upper elementary, middle school, and high school students; college students; and parents, educators, and other professionals.

HISTORY

The courses offered on Samuelson Edu derive from 20+ years of English enrichment classes designed and taught by Charles Samuelson (and other teachers) to 3rd-graders through 12th-graders, as well as college students and adults, at A+ Academy, Samuelson Academy, Samuelson Grammar and Samuelson English—various business titles for the educational centers opened and run by Mr. Samuelson in Temple City and other cities in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles, CA, since 1995.

Samuelson Academy and its affiliates provide skill-based, English-language-focused enrichment classes for students in grades 3—12. Samuelson Academy strives to render traditional education activities in an enlivened format.

Neither daycare nor “edu-tainment,” these classes are focused upon student engagement with age-appropriate critical thinking learning activities, such as sentence and syntax analysis, sentence diagramming, oral reading and recitation, dictation writing, dictionary work, vocabulary syllabication, multiple-clause vocabulary sentence writing, outlining of reading, outlining as pre-writing, and written composition, as well as mandatory cursive handwriting, illustration of readings, and artistic renderings of our learning in colored posters and various project formats.

Outcomes at Samuelson Academy, spanning 20+ years and involving thousands of students, underscore the wisdom underlying such traditional, skill-building learning activities that are often misunderstood and deemed “out-of-date”.
